The TOWIE star, nicknamed Arg, was also captured dancing in the background in the short clip filmed by his former co-star while he spent time with Ferne and her three-year-old daughter Sunday.

He then reshared the clip with the caption "getting my confidence back."

James, 33 and Ferne, 30, have been close friends for years, with Ferne now coming to support Arg with his weightloss goals and split from former girlfriend and TOWIE co-star Gemma Collins.

Arg has recently lost five stone in weight, and is preparing to take part in a charity swim in two open water challenges – the John West Great North Swim and the John West Great East Swim.

He has set himself the high goal of achieving an eight stone weight loss after undergoing gastric band surgery which removed 70 per cent of his stomach.

James has struggled with his weight for some time and his weight increased during lockdown, after he admitted to swapping his drink and drug addiction for food.
