Ashley Cain lights candle in honour of ‘beautiful’ daughter Azaylia following her tragic death
Ashley Cain has shared an emotional video of a lit candle in between two Lion King plush toys as he joined in on a national lighting in memory of his baby daughter.
The 30 year old's daughter Azaylia was heartbreakingly diagnosed with leukemia when she was just eight weeks old, putting up a brave battle as treatments stopped working.
Tragically, Ashley and his 34 year old girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee announced on Sunday that their baby girl had passed away.
Fans of the former Ex On The Beach star organised the national lighting in memory of Azaylia, with Ashley taking to social media to show how he had joined in.
Sharing the clip of the candle flickering on a side table, with the character teddies stood either side of the flame, one emblazoned with a black 'A' on the lion's stomach.
Ashley wrote to his 1.9million followers: "Tonight we lit a candle in the chapel of rest to join others in lighting up the world in honour of my beautiful daughter Azaylia," alongside a red love heart and candle emoji.
Safiyya also shared a clip of the couple joining in with the national lighting, with her sharing to her 1.1million Instagram followers: "Light the world Azaylia [orange heart emoji] I love you."
Azaylia's mum recently opened up on the pain of losing her daughter, admitting "words fail to explain the heartache" of her loss.
Once again taking to Instagram, she wrote on her story: "Morning time not seeing your beautiful smile hurts so deep inside. Azaylia, you're so beautiful, so pure. I miss you so much words fail to explain the heartache.
"I am so proud of you, every day I will carry you in my heart. I know you're looking down on me and all the lessons you've taught me I will keep that with me forever. Thank you for everything baby girl xxx."
She has also shared a beautiful poem written in tribute of her daughter, titled Angel Azaylia, which reads: "Rest in paradise beautiful Angel, princess Azaylia Cain, although you've left this earth, in our hearts you shall remain.
"We're so sorry you had to leave, as you gained your tiny angel wings, but we know that on your arrival, oh the heavens how they'll sing.
"In heavens garden you shall wander, where you shall feel no more pain, where you will wait for Mummy and Daddy, until the day you meet again [sic].
"Like the rarest diamond, an angel in true form, you've touched the world Azaylia, now all of our hearts are torn.
"When we think of you Azaylia, we'll remember the light you gave, how you've encouraged many others, all the awareness you have raised.
"All across the globe, your story has been heard, now you're flying high, soaring with the birds."
The poem ends: "You showed us the meaning of strength, lord knows that you were brave, a legacy you'll leave, so many lives you'll help to save.
"In only eight short months, you showed the world your roar, the fiercest, strongest lion, you will be forevermore."
