Ashley Cain has shared a heartfelt message he has received from Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson amid his baby daughter Azaylia's leukemia battle.

The 30 year old welcomed his first daughter with girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee in August 2020 but, just eight weeks after her birth, was given the devastating diagnosis.

Ex On The Beach star Ashley heartbreakingly announced earlier this week that the disease had spread, and that Azaylia could only have "days left to live".

Following the tragic news, he and Safiyya have returned home with Azyalia to make her as comfortable as possible, giving fans a number of updates.

The latest update from Ashley took an unexpected turn as he posted a video of former WWE wrestler and actor Dwayne, 48, to his 1.2million Instagram followers.

Kicking off the video, Dwayne says: "Hey brother, Ashley, DJ here. First of all, the universe and God works in powerful, amazing, beautiful, mysterious ways.

"I rarely check my DMs and a friend of yours DM'ed me and I just happened to pick up her message and it sent me to your page and I want to tell you, first of all, I'm so sorry to hear about your beautiful daughter Azaylia, I hope I pronounced her name right.

"You tell that little lion that I said 'Let's go, champ,' and stay strong and brother, I'm so sorry to hear this news.

"But I don’t have to tell you that your daughter's strength is what strengthens you and all of her loved ones around her, and in that, she's already had this incredible impact on the world already.

"Stay strong brother. Again, man, my heart breaks for you. Stay strong and tell that little lion that I said, 'Let's go, champ'. You stay strong brother. We'll talk soon," the Jumanji star signed off.

Ashley captioned the upload: "Let's Go Champ @therock," alongside a raised fist and a red love heart emoji.

"I'm so proud of my little girl and so humbled by the impact she's had on so many people around the world. From one of my hero's to another… Let's Go Champ!"

Earlier in the weekend, Ashley emotionally thanked Azaylia for given him "the best eight months" as he marked eight months since her birth.

He once again took to social media on Saturday night to thank his baby daughter as he shared photos of her in the ambulance on the day where she turned eight months old.

The adorable tot was seen wearing a sweet pink wooly hat while wrapped up in a matching blanket.

He captioned the pictures: "Yesterday Azaylia returned home from hospital like the fearless little lioness that she is.

"Today is her 8th month birthday! Happy 8 months baby! I honestly thought @therock was my hero until I spent the last 8 months with you."
