Cardi B Also Wanted Mike Pence to Stop Speaking During Last Night’s VP Debate

Cardi B continues to be the political prophet of our times.

During last night’s televised vice presidential debate between Democratic nominee Senator Kamala Harris and current Vice President Mike Pence, the “WAP” rapper shared a series of videos on Instagram featuring her live reactions to the highly anticipated showdown between the two candidates.

Throughout the evening, Harris and Pence debated over multiple topics including the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement and the verdict on the Breonna Taylor case, the state of health care, and the vacant seat in the Supreme Court.

Like the rest of us who tuned in, Cardi quickly grew annoyed with Pence’s insistence on cutting into Senator Harris’s speaking time. She expressed her frustration by screaming at the television.

“He’s got to shut the fuck up!” Cardi yells at her television screen in one of the clips. “[The moderator] told him to be quiet, and he’s talking an extra 15 seconds!”

In another clip, Cardi critiques the moderating skills of USA Today‘s Washington bureau chief, Susan Page, and suggested she didn’t allow Harris to have equal speaking time as Pence, who repeatedly talked over both the moderator and his opponent.

“Thank you, Vice President! Can you stop talking now?” questions Cardi in another post. “Why is he still talking? That shit got me mad! Bitch, why you ain’t say nothing? Now you’ve got to give Kamala Harris two minutes and 30 seconds, because he spoke for two minutes and 30 seconds. Every time Kamala Harris talks, she stops right on time—[she’s] getting fucked by the mediator!”

At one point, Cardi gets up out of her seat and continues to yell, “No, no!” exasperated by the vice president’s answers.

In the last shared clip, Cardi calls out Pence’s dodging response to whether he would want a new Supreme Court justice to uphold Roe v. Wade or not.

“She asked you about … abortion laws. Why are you talking about O-fucking-sama Bin Laden?” asks Cardi. The rapper went on to caption her last post with the statement, “I wish I was there.” We do, too, Cardi.
