Carol Kirkwood took to Twitter today to share some photos of the beautiful setting for her live weather link on BBC Breakfast. The 57-year-old weather presenter headed to Kew Gardens with her cameraman, who promptly took off with the equipment.

Sharing a snap of her co-worker walking off into the distance, Carol remarked: “Paul is off @PAULCOOPER62!!!”

“Come back with that camera!” she jokingly demanded.

They were presumably looking for a spot to set up and make sure he could safely keep his distance from the presenter.

Although, judging by the picture, he was a lot further away then the recommended two meters.

“He’s social distancing…,” joked one Twitter user in the comments section.

Earlier in the morning, the popular television personality shared some stunning images of the picturesque botanical garden on her social media account.

The weather presenter got up early to visit the tourist attraction before visitors arrived to film today’s weather slot.

She posted a picture of the famous green house on Twitter, in view of 179,700 followers, and told fans it was already 15C on a day, which could potentially be the hottest day of the year.

Carol captioned the snap: “Very tranquil start to the day @kewgardens. Temperature here is currently 15C @BBCBreakfast xxx.”
