Charley Webb addresses difficulty with Emmerdale return as she bans kids from watching
Charley Webb says her son wants a skateboard for Christmas
Emmerdale star Charley Webb, 32, surprised viewers with her return to the Dales last night as the mystery woman in Al Chapman’s life, who he has been seeing behind fiancee Priya Sharma’s back. The Debbie Dingle star has since spoke out about the difficulty in keeping her secret comeback under wraps.
It’s been hard keeping filming a secret
The actress is currently on maternity leave following the birth of her third son Ace last year, but had been filming secret scenes for two months.
Charley shares sons Buster, 10, Bowie, five, and Ace, one with her Emmerdale co-star and husband Mathew Wolfenden, 40.
Discussing her return and home life, she said: “As the kids are young, I don’t let the kids watch it really so I’ll have to catch up a few days later.
“Bowie’s still a bit young to understand so we never have it on when they’re around.”

The actress went on to address the secretive filming behind her return.
“It’s been hard keeping filming a secret,” she told The Sun.
“I only told my close friends and family so there was less chance of it getting out.”
“I’ve known for a while that this would be part of her return.”
Charley added: “It’s always nice for the audience to get a surprise.”
The ITV star went on to say viewers will be in for more surprising revelations as she spilled Debbie has “no idea” she is Al’s mistress.
“He’s convinced her that keeping it a secret will be better because her family hate him and she agree,” she continued.
It comes after Charley said of her maternity leave in January: “It’s been really good fun, but there are no plans for me to return to work at the moment.”

Yesterday, she gave fans an insight into the family’s Christmas day walk together.
The actress filmed herself with her hands full as her son Bowie had fun on his skateboard.
“I got left with the skateboard and the helmet before Bowie’s shoe got stuck in the mud,” she told her 480,000 Instagram followers.
“I was basically a disaster of a walk, but the videos are cute so…”
She followed up her post with further videos of her sons riding on their skateboards.
Charley added: “My heart was fully in my mouth every second of the skateboard [rides].”
