Chloe Ferry has quit social media after posting cryptic messages on her Instagram stories.

The Geordie Shore favourite explained that she’s leaving her accounts to be taken care of by her management team, following showing hateful messages from a fan on Instagram.

Chloe, 25, told her 3.7 million followers yon Monday 3 May: “As mentioned in my story's I'm taking a few days away from social media and my phone I really need this me time. [sic]

“I’m sick of pretending I’m OK to please other people.. for once I’m putting myself first“.

Hours before sharing her decision to quit social media, Chloe revealed she had received a nasty message from a troll.

Speaking in a video posted to her Instagram story, Chloe explained: “I don’t really read my DMs but, this woman, who is the same age as my mum, is constantly replying back to every single story that I’ve put on.”

Chloe added the woman’s messages were “so nasty” before showing her phone to display a string of messages from the troll, including one where the troll calls Chloe’s brows and lip “horrendous”.

The blonde beauty added: “I've actually been having a really bad day today so seeing that hasn't made me feel the best.

“It's one of many. Just because I show myself on Instagram, doesn't mean you know how I'm actually feeling. I post myself looking sexy but it doesn't actually mean that I feel sexy, I'm actually very insecure. But I'm going to have a little bit of time off social media.”

Geordie Shore and Celebs go dating star Chloe Ferry has previously opened up about her mental health struggles.

She told The Sun Online last year: “I had depression, I'm really nervous about it coming out [on Geordie Shore: My Story]. That day when I filmed the episode I spent 99 percent of the day crying.”

The reality TV star is used to being under a microscope, with her relationship with fellow Geordie Shore star Sam Gowland playing out on TV before their split in 2019.
