Justin Theroux talks working with Jennifer Aniston again, plus more news

Justin Theroux opens up about possibly working with his ex, Jennifer Aniston, SJP and more

After they worked together on 20212’s “Wanderlust,” Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston fell in love and tied the knot. Though the marriage didn’t last, they’ve both made clear the friendship has. Now, Jen’s filming Season 2 of “The Morning Show” for Apple TV+, while Justin’s promoting his upcoming lead in “The Mosquito Coast” on the same streaming service. Asked if he’d consider a part on “The Morning Show,” which Jen also executive produces, Justin teased he’d be into it in a recent interview with ET. “Listen, if they wanna send me some pages,” he said coyly. Though he implied he never asked his ex for advice on working on an Apple TV+ project — “it was sort of apples and oranges as far as our productions go,” he noted — Justin did share that they remain in touch and talk about their current projects. “We check in and I think we’re both having fabulous experiences …It’s that perfect balance of support, and also not controlling the creative,” he said. Before wrapping things up, Justin was asked about the possibility of working with another star who he was previously involved with — at least onscreen. Fans have been clamoring to know if Justin might show up on the “Sex And the City” reboot, “And Just Like That,” since he played two different characters on the original series. “I’d like to be another love interest of Sarah Jessica [Parker’s],” he volunteered. “I feel like they went through every actor in New York City at the time because it was such a huge show. I think that’s why I got to play two characters, because they just had burned through everybody. …The wheel of fortune came around to me again.” Justin’s turn in “The Mosquito Coast,” adapted from his uncle Paul Theroux’s book, premieres April 30.

Matt James returns to Instagram — with only one mention of ‘The Bachelor’ on his page

Matt James is having an “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless … Instagram” moment. After scrubbing his IG clean — presumably, to rid his page of the nasty comments from “Bachelor” fans who opposed his split from Rachael Kirkconnell, despite the racist social media posts that resurfaced before the end of Matt’s season — the former “Bachelor” returned to the platform on Thursday. The current iteration of his account, however, has no references to his experience on the show, which is now grappling with its long and problematic history with regard to race and diversity issues. Matt’s bio now features only mentions of his work in real estate and with ABC Food Tours, while the photos he restored or added mostly show him engaging with kids as part of his social justice advocacy, hanging out with friends and family or skating. The sole exception is a text post of Matt’s response to “disappointing photos of” his ex, Rachael, attending an Antebellum South-themed party, among other offensive images, and Chris Harrison’s subsequent defense of Rachael. “Chris’ failure to receive and understand the emotional labor that my friend Rachel Lindsay was taking on by graciously and patiently explaining the racist history of the Antebellum South, a painful history that every American should understand intimately, was troubling and painful to watch,” Matt wrote in the statement. “As Black people and allies immediately knew and understood, it was a clear reflection of a much larger issue that The Bachelor franchise has fallen short on addressing adequately for years,” he continued, saying he “will continue to process” the experience of being the first Black “Bachelor” star. On last week’s Bill Simmons podcast, he said he’s taking a break from dating.

Lea Michele opens up about her ‘scary,’ emotional pregnancy for the first time

After keeping a low profile following the birth of her first child, Ever, with Zandy Reich last year, Lea Michele is sharing details about her exceedingly scary pregnancy. Speaking to Katherine Schwarzenegger on her “Before, During & After” Instagram Live series on Thursday, Lea reflected on why she hadn’t talked to anyone previously about her pregnancy, which was made more difficult by her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis and a hospitalization due to heavy bleeding. “I’ve never shared my experience with anyone, which I think is something that — now that I am a mom — I see myself doing in a lot of ways, not sharing for fear of not sounding perfect or just being afraid …,” she explained, according to E! News. The 34-year-old “Glee” alum also recalled the emotional challenges she faced in trying to get pregnant, telling Katharine, “I really felt like maybe this isn’t meant to be for me right now. … [It was] always my biggest fear in my entire life that I wouldn’t be able to become a mom.” While taking hormones and undergoing surgeries in the hopes she and Zandy could conceive, Lea said she was working on-camera, which didn’t help matters, as she occasionally felt bloated and self-conscious but never told anyone why. She said finding out she was pregnant in December 2019 was “blissful,” until she began bleeding heavily, a condition that continued through her first term. Bedrest and heavy medication followed, which Lea said were “absolutely horrible.” By the time she announced she was expecting, she said, tearing up, she remained “uncertain if the pregnancy was going to last.” Looking back, she said, “it was the lowest I’ve been in my entire life.” Finally, with about two months left before her due date, she was told the baby was healthy. She felt still felt conflicted about the announcement, though. “… That was one of the hardest days of my life, because I was just like, ‘Oh, I’m going to let everyone know I’m pregnant, but this probably isn’t going to work out.'” Luckily, it did work out for Lea and her son, Ever. “My little baby is such a fighter,” she said. “I remember the minute I held him, the first thing I said to him I was like, ‘You did so good.'”

Kendall Jenner clears up pregnancy confusion after Kris Jenner’s baby bottle tweet

Nothing like being embarrassed by your mom in front of her 11.8M Twitter followers … On Thursday, Kendall Jenner had to chime in on a tweet Kris Jenner shared while apparently watching “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” On the show, Kendall had agreed to look after her sisters’ kids so Kim Kardashian West and Khloe Kardashian could have a little Malibu girls’ night to give Kim a break from the stress of her marital problems with Kanye West. Cue mama Jenner’s would-be encouraging tweet that read, “You got this!!!,” followed by a baby bottle emoji — and zero context. “Omg WHAT??” one stunned fan replied. “Is Kendall pregnant???” Others went straight for the congratulatory responses. (And a few folks dismissed Kris’ tweet as marketing “clickbait.”) Finally, Kendall herself weighed in. “Mom, this looks like a pregnancy announcement!” she wrote. “Hahaha poor Kendall!” a fan commiserated after the mystery had been solved. “That’s moms- they love ya but still embarrass you even as adults.”

Lady Gaga’s mom shares an update on Ryan Fischer, Lady G and the pups one month after dognapping scare

One month after Lady Gaga’s friend and dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was shot, and two of her French bulldogs were abducted, the singer’s mother shared an update on how Ryan, her daughter and the pups, Koji and Gustav, are recovering from the scary incident. “I mean, under the circumstances, everybody’s doing as well as they can and on the path toward healing,” Cynthia Germanotta said in an appearance on “Good Day New York” this week. When the dogs were taken and Ryan was assaulted, Gaga was in Italy filming Ridley Scott’s forthcoming film, “House of Gucci,” with Adam Driver. She intially offered a “no questions asked” reward for the safe return of the dogs, who were eventually found tied to a pole and turned over to police. Ryan, meanwhile, is expected to make “a full recovery,” according to his family. The Mirror previously reported Lady G. will cover the cost of his medical bills.

Seth Rogen addresses rumor Emma Watson walked off the set of 2013’s ‘This Is The End’

Seth Rogen is well aware his 2013 film, “This Is the End,” contained more than a few scenes that were over-the-top. In fact, that was kind of the point of the hilarious, Hollywood apocalypse-themed movie. So was there any truth to rumors Emma Watson walked off the set, having refused to film one such scene? Seems the answer is yes. In a new cover story for British GQ, Seth, who co-wrote, directed and starred in “This Is The End,” was asked about the Emma rumor, which appeared on someone’s Tumblr at the time. The scene she allegedly refused to do involved “Danny McBride as a cannibal,” according to GQ, with a leather-clad Channing Tatum on a leash, at Danny’s beck and call. “What happened? Had she not read the script properly?” the writer asked. “I mean, I don’t look back on that and think, ‘How dare she do that?’ You know?,” said Seth. “I think sometimes when you read something, when it comes to life it doesn’t seem to be what you thought it was.” He added that despite the bad vibes, “it was not some terrible ending to our relationship.” Acording to Seth, Emma “came back the next day to say goodbye” and still
“helped promote the film.” He added, “No hard feelings and I couldn’t be happier with how the film turned out in the end.” Besides, he said, “She was probably right. It was probably funnier the way we ended up doing it.”

Jessica Simpson hasn’t ‘thought about alcohol’ at all during the pandemic

Studies have shown the isolation, job losses and widespread illnesscaused by the coronavirus pandemic have led to a serious spike in alcohol abuse among Americans. But the pandemic had the opposite effect on Jessica Simpson, who’s been sober since 2017. “I have not thought about alcohol,” Jessica said on the “Tamron Hall” show Friday, according to People. Tamron later asked how Jessica was dealing with the challenges of continuing her recovery in such tense times. “It’s weird because alcohol was an easy thing for me to give up,” Jessica explained. “It was holding onto how I romanticized the pain I liked to hold on to.” She also acknowledged the ongoing support of her husband, Eric Johnson — who gave up booze when Jessica did — saying the two share a similar perspective on alcohol at this point: “Eric and I both, we look at each other like, ‘Woah. We could not have drank through this.” Jessica first revealed she struggled with an addiction to alcohol and pills in her 2020 memoir, “Open Book,” which detailed how her history of sexual abuse during childhood was a contributing factor.

Alex Trebek and his wife, Jean, help fund new facility to combat homelessness

Alex Trebek is still helping those in need, even after his death. People reports a new facility aimed at combatting homelessness in California’s San Fernando Valley will be named in honor of the late “Jeopardy!” host and his wife, Jean Trebek, after the couple donated $500,000 to the project before Alex lost his battle with cancer last year. Set to open in December under the auspices of Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, The Trebek Center will house 107 residential beds while offering support services like substance abuse counseling, job training and job placement, in the interest of helping residents get to a point where they can cover more permanent housing work towards a more sustainable future. In a press release pegged to Alex and Jean’s donation to a similar facility in the North Hollywood section of Los Angeles last year, Alex said, “I’m not one of those people who thinks that we can’t deal with the homeless near my house because that’s bad. I don’t feel that way.” He added, “I wish more people would react in a positive way to reaching out and trying to help their fellow member of the community.” According to TMZ, Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission plans to break ground on The Trebek Center in May.
