Jamie Redknapp wanted another baby whilst his ex-wife Louise was competing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016, it has emerged.
An old interview by Louise, 46, has resurfaced from her time on the hit BBC dancing show, where she admits her 47 year old ex-husband wanted to add to their family.
The pair share sons Charley, 16, and Beau, 12, with Jamie now expecting his third child with girlfriend Frida Andersson, 37.
But it appears the pregnancy is not a rash decision for the former footballer, as he has been wanting to expand his brood for years.
Speaking of her Strictly dance partner Kevin Clifton during her time on the show, Louise told The Sun: "Two of [Kevin's] previous partners have got pregnant after the show. Bring that one on.
"Maybe he's the good luck charm I need to get that girl I really want.
"Jamie would love another baby, I'm not getting any younger so we'll see what happens. But I'm in Strictly shape now so we'll see."
Earlier this week, OK! revealed how Louise had been "knocked sideways" by Jamie and Frida's baby news after being informed of the pregnancy by family members.
A source told us: "Louise was knocked sideways by the news. Jamie didn't tell her directly, she found out through family.
"She's happy for them both and says life goes on but at the same time, she's shocked by how quickly he's moved on and that he'll be a new dad again at nearly 50.

"A new baby is always a joy but she is concerned at how it will impact their family dynamic."
Jamie and Frida's baby news was announced by sources to The Sun and eventually confirmed by Frida, who shares four children with her ex-husband Jonathan Lourie, on her Instagram page when she replied 'thank you' to comments from fans.
"Lovely news on your new baby. Congratulations to both," wrote one, whilst a second added: "Congratulations on your new baby." Frida simply responded with a "thank you" emoji.
A source told The Sun: "Jamie and Frida are absolutely delighted. They've been virtually inseparable in lockdown, and their relationship has gone from strength to strength."
"Jamie's been telling pals he's really excited to be a dad again — less excited about the sleepless nights, and nappy-changing. But both he and Frida will be brilliant, hands-on parents."
Jamie and Frida have been dating for the past 18 months and met after being introduced through friends.
