Princess Beatrice has shared a heartfelt message in support of the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice as she prepares to welcome her first child.

The 32 year old is currently expecting a baby with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and has shared the message in a video for the hospice, which she is patron of.

She thanked those supporting the hospice for their support as she marked the end of Child's Hospice Week.

Speaking to the camera, Beatrice said: "As patron of Forget Me Not Children's Hospice and as Child's Hospice Week comes to a close, I just want to take this moment to thank each and every single one of those families and carers giving that much needed support to those with life shortening conditions.

"Forget Me Not Children's Hospice provide expert clinical and respite care and end of life care for those families coping with around the clock challenges for caring for a child with complex and life shortening conditions."

Next month, Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York's first child will celebrate her and Edoardo's first wedding anniversary.

The pair married in a private ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor on 17 July 2020.

Last month, it was announced the couple are welcoming their first child together, three months after Beatrice's sister Princess Eugenie gave birth.

Beatrice's husband took to Instagram over the weekend to share an emotional post about his late stepfather with his 72.8k followers to mark 10 years since he passed away.

In the heartfelt post, the 38 year old shared a selection of family photos with his stepfather, Christopher Shale, and himself.

The family snaps include photos of when Edoardo was a young child and he’s pictured with his stepfather as a teen. He makes reference to his and Beatrice's unborn child as he says he wishes his step-dad could have met his "3 and soon to be 4 grandchildren".

The emotional words accompanying the pictures read: "Chrisdog, Pups, I can't believe it has been 10 years. Not a day goes by without me thinking of you and leaning on all the lessons you taught me.

"You once said on my 18th birthday that being my stepfather was the greatest honour and privilege of your life."

The millionaire property developer continued: "I echo this, being your stepson is the greatest honour of my life and I would never be standing here today without you.

"I know how proud you would be of us all today and so wish you had got to meet your 3 and soon to be 4 Grandchildren. What joy they would have brought you. I was just [my son] Wolfie's age when you came into my world and changed everything."
