Prince Harry Didn’t Pitch Meghan Markle to Disney CEO Bob Iger After All

Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry have now stepped down as senior members of the royal family, and they’ve recently moved to Los Angeles, too. In their new royal family roles, Meghan and Harry are able to take on paid work and plan to become financially independent.

It was announced this week that the Duchess of Sussex is narrating Disneynature’s latest documentary, Elephant, which is set to hit Disney+ soon. The documentary will benefit the organization Elephants Without Borders.

Earlier this year, video footage of Meghan and Harry at the premiere of The Lion King resurfaced. In the clip, Harry could be seen talking to Bob Iger, Disney’s CEO, and it appeared as though the duke was recommending his wife for future voiceover work.

However, as reported by Hello! magazine, “The Duchess recorded the voiceover for Disneynature’s new film Elephants in autumn 2019, after being approached by the filmmakers, Mark and Vanessa Berlowitz, earlier in the summer. Meghan had been aware of the film for some time and had seen some of the footage taken over a few years, so the team thought she would be a good fit for the narration given her passion for the subject.”

It seems that Prince Harry was, in actuality, singing his wife’s praises to Iger, and not trying to score her a new job. Either way, the Sussexes remain exceedingly cute.
