Prince Harry Is "Really Missing" Meghan Markle and Reportedly Speaks to Her a Few Times a Day
Prince Harry is currently in the U.K. ahead of the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip, who passed away on Friday at 99 years old. Meghan Markle was unable to accompany her husband due to her physician's orders (she's pregnant, ICYMI!).
According to Us Weekly, the Duke of Sussex is "really missing" his wife and nearly-2-year-old son, Archie.
"He's already really missing Meghan and Archie and has been FaceTiming them every day to check in," a source told the magazine. "He actually speaks to Meghan a few times a day because he worries [about] leaving her when she's so far along in her pregnancy."
Perhaps adding to the stress of the situation is the bombshell interview the Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave to Oprah Winfrey just last month. You know, the one where the couple alleged that a member of the royal family had expressed "concerns" over the color of their unborn child's skin …
Despite the obvious divide between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family, royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight that Harry is "relieved" to be in the U.K. and "looking forward to being reunited with his family."
"It's going to be an emotional reunion," Nicholl explained, "he hasn't seen his family for over a year now, so I think a lot of people are thinking maybe there's a silver lining in all of this that finally there will be a family reunion."
"I think there is every hope that this will be the beginning of the thawing of the rift between William and Harry," Nicholl continued. "We all know that it has not been an easy year, we know about the royal rift at the heart of the monarchy. We know that William and Harry have had a lot of problems over the past year and not least in the last month in the fallout of Harry and Meghan's Oprah interview. But I think the feeling certainly amongst senior royals and those who know the royals well, is that this will be an opportunity for the brothers to be together, to spend some much-needed time together."
The last we heard on the William and Harry front, the Duke of Cambridge was reportedly "deeply distressed" by the fact that his brother had shared details about a conversation they'd had following the Oprah interview with CBS This Morning's Gayle King.
Should be an interesting week …
