How unreal did Maisie [Smith] look in her pink dress last week?! To be honest, she looks incredible every week. I know there’s been a lot of speculation about whether there’s any romance between us. It’s funny because I’ve actually seen her the least out of everyone because she’s not been in any of my rehearsal spaces.

But yeah, Maisie really is so lovely and beautiful. She’s a really good friend of mine and I think she’s an amazing dancer. Not a lot can really happen between us because we have to be two meters apart, but I am a little excited to see how things blossom.

And what a first week for strictly 2020! I am genuinely so surprised that I came top of the leaderboard, especially after Maisie and Gorka’s amazing performance.

I couldn’t believe Motsi [Mabuse] gave me a nine on week one! It couldn’t have gone much better really.

All of my co-stars were so supportive during the first show. Normally every year there’s one big audience, but this year all the contestants sat on tables watching each dance which felt really good.

Because of COVID and the social distancing rules, everyone uses our group WhatsApp chat. We talk to each other all day every day on there and really big each other up!

Someone I’ve already developed a bromance with however is, Jamie Laing. We’ve been in the same building training a lot so we talk all the time. I love him so much. He’s like a labrador, just so happy all the time.

Plus, he’s really nervous about the show like me. I help him out as much as I can with the little knowledge that I have. But our sense of humour is spot on, he’s so funny.

This week I’m dancing The Viennese waltz to the song Stuck With You by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. I love that song.

I’m definitely finding ballroom a lot harder than the jive and I didn’t even know what the jive was! But it was a lot more suited to me, because it’s energetic and you have to be light on your feet. Ballroom is completely different, it’s a lot more elegant and I am not elegant in the slightest!

But, my dance partner Janette [Manara] has been so lovely and patient with me. She’s like my big sister.

We spend from 10am until 7pm every day. So that’s a really long time! But I choose to spend that long training because I really do want to do well. After all, you only do Strictly once, so you need to really go for it!

I’m really getting into all the Strictly outfits. I actually ended up wearing one of Joe Suggs ' jackets which he wore two years ago last week for the jive. We were toying around with different colours, went into the old stock and found this perfect jacket that fit me like a glove which was Joe’s. They just added some diamonds! This week, I’m wearing a suit because it’s a ‘proper’ dance!

I don’t feel like I’m going to score high this week. But I am going for a side parting in my hair, so if the dance doesn’t get me a 10, hopefully my hair will!
