Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande Quietly Assisting Fans Hurt By Coronavirus Outbreak

Pop superstars Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande have been quietly reaching out to their fans in this time of crisis and uncertainty to provide financial aid to those who have been put out of a job as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

After Samantha Jacobson, a cocktail waitress from Florida, took to Twitter to complain about her workplace having been shut down due to the coronavirus, Swift got in touch with her through direct messages and helped her by transferring $3,000 to her.

“I couldn’t believe someone I had looked up to and love and respected for so long has reached out with such generosity,” Jacobson told People, who originally reported the story.

Another fan named India couldn’t believe her eyes when she read a message that she received from Swift saying that she wished to “help ease that strain” by gifting $3,000 to her.

“I’m shaking and crying and just fell over a rug in my rush to ask my brother if Taylor’s message was real & now I’m probably (definitely) concussed,” she shared on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Page Six reported that Grande has been using the money transfer platform Venmo to donate between $500 to $1,000 to as many as 20 fans who have been put out of a job.
