Amazon Prime subscribers have just found out when the Prime Day 2021 sale will be taking place. Amazon Prime Day is usually scheduled for July of each year, but things were drastically different in 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic the Amazon Prime Day 2020 sale was pushed back to October – around three months after the exclusive sale bonanza usually takes place.
Thankfully, this year’s edition of Prime Day will not only be happening earlier than that, but earlier than ever before.
As reported by Android Central, Amazon CFO Brian Osofsky recently spoke about when Prime Day 2021 will be happening during an earnings call.
And it looks like the rumours about this year’s edition of Prime Day launching in June could be true, with Osofsky revealing the exclusive savings for Prime customers will be going live in the second quarter of this year.
The Amazon bigwig said: “July is a big vacation month, so it might be better to have for customers, sellers, and vendors to experiment with a different time period.
“We experimented the other way, obviously in 2020, by moving it into October, but we believe that it might be better timing, later in Q2. So that’s what we’re testing this year.”
