Arrest warrant issued for George Michael’s ex Fadi Fawaz after court no-show
George Michael's ex-boyfriend Fadi Fawaz is facing a warrant for his arrest after he failed to appear at court on March 2.
Hairdresser Fadi, 44, also failed to attend the Westminster Magistrates' Court last month, and district judge Alexander Jacobs has now issued a warrant for his arrest.
He is accused of one count of criminal damage, after allegations that he broke a window at Le Fix Natural Beauty Bar in Fitzrovia, London, on December 21, 2020.
Two of the previous occasions Fadi failed to attend court were because of paperwork errors.
District Judge Alexander Jacobs said: "I am satisfied he was written to at St George's Avenue.
"It clearly sets out the right details of the venue and time of the hearing today. It is a warrant with no bail."
Fadi, who lives in Islington, north London, allegedly broke the window only a few days before the fourth anniversary of singer George's death.
He also failed to attend court in early January after wrongly being told by police to go to Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court.
Fawaz did not appear on January 26 but it later emerged in court there had been paperwork errors, and the police didn't put the postcode on the letter telling him to attend court.
The notice was sent to him on January 27: "You must attend and if you do not attend, the court may issue a warrant for your arrest."
He also was last due to show up in court on February 9, but failed to make an appearance despite receiving a warning.

The matter was adjourned after the hearing lasted just two minutes.
Fadi met late singer George back in 2009 and they entered a relationship following the singer's split from long-term partner Kenny Goss.
The hairstylist, who counted British supermodel Naomi Campbell and the Pussycat Dolls among his clients, discovered George dead in bed in his lavish home in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
He was left nothing in the musician's £96.7million will.
Wham! legend George was best known famous for hits including Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, Faith, and Careless Whisper, was 53 at the time of his death.
A coroner later stated the singer died of natural causes, most likely down to heart disease and a build-up of fat in his liver.
