Family turn their garden into epic lockdown space with bar and outdoor kitchen
A family have used their time during lockdown wisely after transforming their garden into a cool entertaining space.
Sally Barry lives in East Yorkshire with daughter Beth, her partner Drew and their toddler Grace.
The household spent the pandemic creating the ideal staycation spot right outside their window.
Grandma Sally, who owns Wharram's Florists, picked up materials at bargain places on Facebook pages for the project.
She sourced a shed for free before converting it into a bar with lights, a fridge and a side hatch for serving drinks, reports Hull Live.
After finding wood and pallets online, a friend created an outdoor kitchen area built around a BBQ with space to hang utensils.
Then the entire garden was painted and tidied before more fairy lights were placed to add atmosphere.
Sally said: "We had plenty of time on our hands during the first lockdown and started it last May.
"It has made such a difference to have this during lockdown, everyone comments and says how much they love it.
"Our garden is a standard sized for a terraced house, and yet we've managed to fit so much in.
"Previously, we just had the hot tub and sofa. The bar and outdoor kitchen and gazebo have been added since lockdown."

The gran added: "We had help from a friend who lived alone and formed a bubble with us, so he built it.
"It just goes to how that you don’t need to spend a lot to make a big difference."
The family screened their existing hot tub by adding trellis with lights and they've added a gazebo over their outdoor sofas.
She concluded: "We can't wait to get family and friends back round now that we are allowed."
