Gerwyn Price has shared footage of three negative Covid-19 tests after being axed from Premier League darts.
The Welshman, who is No.1 in the world, was removed from Easter Monday’s fixtures after a registering a positive test.
He was tested upon arrival at Milton Keynes’ Marshall Arena the night before as the 17-night tournament gets underway.
But Price shared footage on his Instagram story which appears to show him testing negative for the virus.
Sitting on his sofa, the 36-year-old said: “Well, I’ve been home about two hours.
“So I thought I’d try and do a test at home to see if I was actually positive.”
Price then pans the camera to show three Covid-19 home tests on the table, which provide a result 30 minutes after samples are provided.
And there is a single line next to the letter C on each of the home test kits, indicating a negative result.
Saying that he did the tests, the world No.1 then gives a funny look at the camera before ending the clip.
While the video was soon deleted from the Welshman’s Instagram story, it was soon shared on Twitter.
The Premier League opening will be the first time Price has been absent from a darts tournament since the start of 2021.
Known as “Iceman”, he became the best darts player in the world with an incredible 7-3 PDC World Championship win over Gary Anderson in January.

Having deposed Michael van Gerwen at the top, Price would have been set for a rematch of the final in the first round of the Premier League.
The Welshman has won five other major titles during his career, with two Grand Slam of Darts as well the 2020 World Grand Prix, World Cup of Darts and Worst Series of Darts Finals.
But he has only been playing a decade, having started in rugby union – but he also wants to take on one of snooker’s best in Ronnie O’Sullivan.
