McDonald’s customer gobsmacked after ‘finding warning note in takeaway bag’

A McDonald's customer was stunned after she claimed she found a warning note in her takeaway delivery bag from the fast food chain.

Danni Jordan, from Derby, said she ordered a McDonald's delivery from the St. Peter's Street branch this week.

However, she got more than just her food in the bag.

The 18-year-old said she was left baffled after she claimed to have found a handwritten note inside her takeaway, which included a main meal and a Millionaire's Donut.

She claimed the note instructed her to "wait a few hours" before eating her dessert.

Danni didn't even find the note, seemingly handwritten by a member of staff, until she had finished her hot food.

So she was shocked when she found it around an hour later.

The note read: "Hi, I'm very sorry that this doughnut is still frozen… please wait a few hours before eating. Thank you."

Talking about the note, Danni exclaimed: "I couldn't stop laughing. It was so random and I couldn't believe they'd sent me a frozen doughnut.

"I didn't see the note for about an hour and by that point it was pretty defrosted but the caramel was still pretty frozen.

"It didn't really taste that much different. It was slightly soggy when defrosted, but it still tasted nice. The doughnuts are so nice that I can't not order them – I'd prefer it if they were defrosted, though."

Danni, who lives with partner Josh, said the bizarre addition to her takeaway won't put her off going back to McDonald's though.

She continued: "I tweeted a picture of the note to McDonalds but didn't get a response.

"It's more funny than complaint-worthy so I didn't think to ring the actual restaurant or anything.

"I tend to have a McDonalds when I can't be bothered to cook, so I probably have one about once a month."
