The government has now stated cinemas will be able to reopen from July 4.
Odeon have confirmed on their website they will start reopening cinemas from this date.
Odeon are planning to get their premises back open this month.

In a statement on their website last month, Odeon said: “Thank you for your support.
“We are busy getting our cinemas ready to reopen safely in July and will confirm details soon.”
The cinema brand suggests joining myODEON to sign up for emails on local reopening dates.

How will Odeon reopen in July?
To be able to reopen, the Government has asked businesses in the hospitality sector to make sure they are ‘Covid-secure’ before opening again.
Odeon has outlined a number of ways it’s cinemas will be operating to help keep customers safe when it reopens premises in July.
Odeon cinemas will be operating more thorough and frequent cleaning schedules, and hand sanitizer gels and wipes will be available.
Staff will be equipped with PPE, such as gloves and face coverings where needed.

The company will be limiting the number of seats for sale for each film, guaranteeing unoccupied seats between parties so social distancing can be adhered to.
To reduce queue times, film start times will also be staggered.
Like many businesses, Odeon will also be using floor markers to keep distance between customers and staff.
Odeon says they recommend people book tickets online for a contactless experience, and tickets will be checked visually.
Odeon cinemas will no longer be accepting cash, but the contactless limit has been increased.
Odeon thank guests for working with them “to keep everyone safe” and ask: “When you arrive at the cinema, please observe social distancing at all times and avoid waiting around in public areas unless in a queue.
“Please wash your hands when appropriate and use our sanitising stations with our compliments.
“Please be at your auditorium in good time for your scheduled start time and have your tickets ready for visual inspection.
“We have strict guidelines for any of our colleagues who may begin to show early symptoms to stay away from the cinema.
“We would welcome all of our guests to do the same and stay home if they feel unwell.”
