Seamus Coleman releases injury update as Everton star completes scan after being rushed to hospital at Leicester | The Sun

SEAMUS COLEMAN has issued an update on the nasty looking-knee injury during Everton's clash with Leicester.

The Republic of Ireland international landed awkwardly on his right leg in the first half of Sean Dyche's2-1 win at the King Power Stadium.



The full-back jarred his knee after vying for the ball with Boubakary Soumare and ended up leaving the field of play on a stretcher before being rushed to the hospital.

Toffees fans feared the worst for their skipper.

But they'll be boosted by the news he HASN'T suffered any anterior cruciate ligament damage.

He wrote on his private Instagram: “Just wanted to update you all, thanks so much for all the well wishes.

Everton fans were overjoyed by the news, with one tweeting: "Brilliant news."

Coleman was signed by Everton boss David Moyes way back in 2009.
