TOWIE’s Amber Turner reveals her 99p secret for clear skin

In between sharing her home workout videos and whipping up healthy green juices, TOWIE star Amber, 26, has, like a lot of us, been using this period of isolation to indulge in some pampering.

We don’t know about you, but with all this extra time to spend on ourselves, we’re fully expecting to emerge with the softest skin, shiniest hair and professional-level make-up skills come summer.

In an Instagram story, Amber shared some of her current favourite bathtime essentials from her Essex home, which included a surprisingly affordable face mask that you’re probably still able to pick up from your high street.

The Superdrug Pink Clay Purifying Mask contains kaolin clay, aloe vera plus other natural extracts (willow bark, witch hazel, rosemary) – all this and you still get change from a quid.

“Pink clay masks are good for drawing out impurities,” she wrote, which make them especially good for oily or blemish-prone skin – and this one only costs 99p.

Apply with a brush like Amber or with fingers, leave on for 10-15 minutes then rinse off with warm water for a super-soft, fresh-faced complexion.

To complete her spa-like routine, Amber also used the Beauty Works Pearl Nourishing Argan Oil Mask on her hair.

“I’ve left oil/treatments in my hair for 3 days now, added a lil bit more then gonna wash it tomorrow,” she told her followers.

If this has inspired you to give your skin a spring clean, here are some of the OK! Beauty team’s other favourite clay-based face masks…

Beauty Pie Pore-Detox Black Clay Mask, £8.46 (members’ price), buy it here

One for oily or combination skin types, this is your classic clay mask – it’s thick, dark grey in colour and dries hard. As it does, it removes oil and dirt out from pores, and the results are noticeable. It contains kaolin clay, bamboo spheres and a combination of acids to leave skin feeling squeaky clean and super-smooth.

Glamglow Supermud Clearing Glam To Go Treatment Mask, £16, buy it here

A super-strength mask with extreme mattifying, pore-sucking powers, those with problem skin claim this is a miracle-worker, clearing blackheads and shrinking the appearance of pores. Go easy with it though, and only apply it to areas that really need it such as the T-zone.

L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay Soothing Mask, £7.99, buy it here

One for anyone with skin prone to sensitivity or who finds typical clay masks too drying, this one combines clays with mallow flower extract, an ingredient known for its ability to soothe the skin. It gives a deep clean without leaving the skin feeling dried out or irritated.
