Zendaya's Oscars Glam Is the Summer Beauty Inspiration We've Been Waiting For

Ah, Zendaya. Every time she steps onto another red carpet, it's like a breath of fresh air, and the 2021 Oscars were no different.

For the big night, the star worked with celebrity makeup artist Sheika Daley, who used all Lancôme products to create a dreamy look thats making us long for summers past (you know, back when we were able to roam free in the heat and haze).

"The inspiration came from us wanting to do a very clean, fresh, and natural look," Daley shares exclusively with InStyle. "Barely there makeup balanced the neon dress and we had fun experimenting with all the flesh tones on the eyes, cheeks, and lips. It was a very different beauty look from the Critics' Choice Awards, and with Zendaya we always like switching things up from show to show."

The makeup artist began by prepping the star's skin using the brand's Advanced Génifique Anti-Aging Face Serum to add moisture and ensure smooth makeup application. Next, she balanced the actress's skin tone by using Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation in 425 Bisque Warm and Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Stick in 420 Bisque Neutral for contour. The Dual Finish Multi-tasking Illuminating Highlighter was used to give the star some added glow.

For the eyes, Daley created warmth using Lancôme's Hypnôse 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Terre De Sienne and French Nude, followed by Le Crayon Khôl in Black Coffee and the Lash Idôle Mascara for definition, while keeping the overall finish natural and simple.

Daley completed the look by pairing Lancôme Le Crayon in Nude and Lancôme Juicy Tubes in 13 Raspberry Cool for lips.

When it came to hair, stylist Larry Sims gave Zendaya effortless lived-in waves, which made the star look like a mermaid as she fluttered across the red carpet.
