Couple arrested after attacking Hasidic men in social-distancing spat

An anti-Semitic Queens couple apparently enraged by a lack of social distancing attacked a group of Hasidic Jews in Brooklyn, bizarrely even pulling the masks off some of the victims’ faces, police said.

Paulo Pinho, 35, and his wife, Clelia Pinho, 46, were arrested on a charge of aggravated harassment as a hate crime after a confronting with a large group of Hasidic Jews who were gathered outside late Sunday at Bedford Avenue and Ross Street in Williamsburg, police said.

The couple spotted the crowd as they drove and got out of their vehicle before allegedly shouting anti-Semitic slurs to the group of Jews gathered outside, accusing some of not wearing masks or adhering to social-distancing guidelines, police said.

“You’re the reason why we’re getting sick,” they shouted, in sum and substance, according to police.

Paulo Pinho, who called cops on the crowd, then approached three Hasidic men and tried to rip off their masks, setting off a fight outside. The pair was then detained by the crowd until cops arrived on the scene and took them into custody, police said.

“They were at that corner, they encountered these three males and made anti-Semitic remarks,” NYPD Lt. Thomas Antonetti told The Post. “After making the statements, that’s when the masks were pulled off.”

The suspects, both of whom are from Queens, were taken to a hospital following the 8:35 p.m. attack, with Paulo Pinho sustaining an injury to his arm during the ensuing scuffle. Clelia Pinho was treated for cuts and minor injuries, police said.

The victims, at least one of whom was wearing traditional Hasidic garb, refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

Dozens of officers are seen responding to the scene in a video posted late Sunday by The Belaaz.

Social media star ‘arrested’ for making tea with toilet water for wife in sick viral video prank – The Sun

A SAUDI social media prankster has reportedly been arrested after filming himself making his wife a cup of tea with toilet water.

Hani Halawani posted a video on Snapchat in which he appears in a bathroom brewing a cup of tea.

In the video he pours a cup of toilet water into mint tea and passes it to his unsuspecting wife, Alanoud Yamani, who takes a sniff and appears to notice a disgusting smell.

She refuses to drink and passes it onto another person.

The influencer is said to have removed the footage documenting his act after his angry wife found out about the prank.

She advised him to take the video off his social media channels as it would encourage children and teenagers among his followers to imitate the act.

If convicted, the social media star could face charges of abusing social media, putting others' safety at risk, or jeopardizing others' safety, and harming public order.

According to Saudi cybercrime law, offences of this nature can attract up to five years' imprisonment and a fine of nearly $800,000 US dollars.

Saudi Arabia has some of the toughest laws in the world.

The Islamic kingdom does not tolerate posting of any obscene acts, nudity, or even pranks or videos that involve men and women who are not related to each other.

Spoilers: Keegan arrested in EastEnders after shocking party riot

Keegan Butcher-Baker (Zack Morris) has found himself victimised by the police on a number of occasions in EastEnders over the last couple of months, but matters escalate further in the coming episodes, as things get out of hand during Vinny Panesar’s (Shiv Jalota) party, and Keegan is arrested amid the chaos.

Keegan is less than pleased when Tiffany (Maisie Smith) warns him about the dangers of payday loans, but Kheerat (Jaz Deol) later overhears Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) reassuring Tiffany on the matter, and therefore he offers Keegan a loan.

Later, Keegan gives Tiffany Karen’s (Lorraine Stanley) old engagement ring, and — afterwards — they head to Vinny’s party.

It doesn’t take long for chaos to ensue during the celebrations, as Vinny’s pal Hari proceeds to insult Ash (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) and Iqra (Priya Davdra), and — as things spiral — the police arrive.

Later, a brick is thrown at a police car, and — with the situation getting very much out of hand — Keegan and Tiffany both decide to leave, but the disaster is far from over, as Keegan is arrested — as the police believe he threw the brick.

Horrified to see her boyfriend being taken away, Tiffany goes to Jack (Scott Maslen) — hoping that he will be able to help — but the copper soon receives an update from a fellow colleague, who informs him of how much trouble Keegan is actually in.

It’s certainly not looking good for Keegan, as the evidence is evidently stacked against him, but matters are made worse when he’s later released under investigation, and — upon his return — Tiffany drops a bombshell.

100-year-old NJ man arrested for alleged quarantine violation at funeral

A 100-year-old man was among 15 people who were arrested during a funeral in New Jersey for allegedly defying the state’s ban on public gatherings during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report.

The incident in Ocean County late Wednesday was the fourth time in as many days that Lakewood police had to respond to a prohibited public event — this time a funeral where between 60 and 70 people gathered, NJ.com reported.

“This gathering was in violation of (Gov. Phil Murphy’s executive order), which bans gatherings of individuals, whether they be at weddings, parties, celebrations, or other social events including funerals,” Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer and Police Chief Gregory Meyer said in a statement.

“As officers tried to disperse the crowd, the crowd became unruly and argumentative,” they added about the incident at Eighth Street and Madison Avenue, near a Jewish temple and cemetery.

Backup police were called to assist in the arrests of 15 people for violating the order, including the centenarian, Nossom Strulovic of Lakewood, according to the news outlet.

Also charged were three Brooklyn residents, including Samuel Manheim, 27, who was accused of refusing to identify himself and was charged with hindering his own apprehension and violating Murphy’s executive order.

The other Brooklyn men were Joel Jakubowitz, 36, and Shimon Hus, 18.

Earlier incidents included a bat mitzvah attended by about 50 people, a group of 35 men gathered at a yeshiva and an engagement party attended by at least 16 people, including a 99-year-old man who was charged along with seven others.
