Billie Faiers breaks silence after sister Sam quits Mummy Diaries saying she 'wishes her luck'

BILLIE Faiers has broken her silence following the news her sister Sam has quit The Mummy Diaries.

The Sun revealed that the show was coming to an end yesterday as Sam has decided to take a break from reality TV.

Billie will continue filming her own show, The Family Diaries, with husband Greg Shepherd, focusing on refurbishing her lavish £1.4million Essex mansion.

Taking to Instagram to discuss the news, Billie wrote: “As one journey ends another begins 💫 ….

“And What an incredible journey it has been 🥰❤️ filming with my sister and family for the past 7 years has been the most wonderful experience and we truly have made the BEST memories all together.

“Filming @mummydiariesofficial 🥰 I always say it’s like the best home movie ever !!! We are forever grateful to all of our amazing mummy diaries fans and followers 🥰❤️ Thank you for all of your support over the years ❤️”

She continued:  “HOWEVER …. The show must go on for us Shep’s 😉😉😉 I am VERY excited that we are now filming for ‘Billie and Greg ~ The Family Diaries’ @gregory_shep the kids and I are excited to bring you along this next exciting chapter of our journey ! 🥰☺️😅❤️.”Addressing her sister, she added: “I wish my sister @samanthafaiers all the love and luck in the world with your next adventure 💫🥰❤️”

Former Towie star Sam, 30, who has starred on the ITVBe series with property developer hubby Paul Knightley and their two young kids for seven years, plans to focus on new projects away from the cameras.

Mum-of-two Sam, who has filmed nine series, said: “After many months of consideration, I've decided that now feels like the right time to step away and to focus on new adventures.

"I truly have watched all the most defining moments in my adult life play out on The Mummy Diaries – bringing two beautiful children into the world, my relationship with Paul, building my businesses, creating a home together as a family, and of course all the wonderful memories with Billie and my family.

"I'm so grateful to ITV and Potato for giving me and my children the best home movies anyone could ask for, I could never have imagined seven years ago that we would still be here today-  9 series on! But more importantly I will be forever appreciative to our incredible viewers.

"There’s no family more entertaining than the Shepherds, so I can’t wait to sit back as a viewer for a change and watch the fun play out while I have a few adventures of my own away from the cameras.”

A source said: "Having her own series has been a lifelong ambition, as is building her own dream home in Essex, and being able to film it and share the journey with fans is an incredible opportunity for Billie and she snapped up the chance straight away.

"Billie and Greg have proved to ITV they're a hilarious duo who not only bounce off each other but aren't afraid to be honest with each other either. The show is filming throughout the summer and will be out later this year."

ITV's factual entertainment commissioning editor Amanda Stavri said: “We’d like to thank Sam and her family for helping to make The Mummy Diaries one of ITVBe’s signature series.

"They’ve shared some of the most poignant and personal moments in their lives over nine series, and we hope to work with them again in the future.”
