‘Boring’ Charles and Camilla slammed in astonishing TV rant supporting Meghan

An outspoken TV commentator has unleashed a blistering attack on the Royal Family in support of Meghan Markle.

Meghan McCain, a conservative columnist, was appearing on US show The View alongside host Whoopi Goldberg.

In an extraordinary rant initially aimed at Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, Meghan said she would “rather eat a muddy tyre” than have anything to do with them.

“I find them the most boring people in the world,” she continued. “And I can say that because I am an American!”

Meghan then went on to slam the monarchy for their treatment of her namesake, the Duchess of Sussex.

“I know that people love Queen Elizabeth and she’s a legacy,” she added.

“But I don’t like the way they treated Meghan Markle and Harry and I think Americans are pretty protective over them right now.

“She (Meghan) went over there, tried to help modernise something that in my perspective is old, archaic and deeply irrelevant.

“And now she came back here and I’m just glad they have a safe space to live here where they can live their lives the way they want to.”

It is not the first time the commentator has been outspoken about the royals.

After Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, she suggested there were some “discrepancies” in what she said.

Meanwhile, Andrew Neil blasted the Duchess’s book in a savage This Morning rant.

He claimed he had read some excerpts from it and said it was "terrible", adding: "The book is supposed to centre around relationships between fathers and their kids.

"I'm not sure her interview with Oprah did much to help the relationship between Charles and Harry.

"And as for having 'The Duchess of Sussex' plastered over the front page after he complaints about the Royal Family – many of which are not true – I think there's a level of hypocrisy here."

Meanwhile, some Meghan fans joked critics were “jealous” that her book would outsell Kate Middleton's.
