EastEnders fans divided as Danny Dyer’s daughter Dani appears as pregnant cabbie
Love Island champion Dani Dyer starred alongside her real-life father Danny Dyer during Tuesday night's episode of EastEnders.
The 24-year-old reality star played a taxi driver named Jeannette, who came to the rescue of Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter, played by dad Danny.
Mick promised wife Linda (Kellie Bright) that he will be there for her when she attends her baby scan, but a series of obstacles thew a spanner in the works.
Jeanette arrived in her black cab, and offered to take Mick where he needs to go.
The cab driver, who is also pregnant, soon went into labour and Mick was tasked with getting her help.
Danny managed to get Jeanette safely to the hospital, but Linda was unimpressed that her husband had missed her appointment.
Fans of the BBC soap rushed to their keyboards to give their verdict on Dani's debut performance as Jeanette.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Dani Dyer would be perfect as a series regular on #EastEnders."
Another added: "I reckon Danny/Dani Dyer just ad libbed that, very alike."
A third person posted: "Good to see Danny dyer real life daughter make a cameo on EastEnders."
While a fourth social media user said: "This Dani Dyer stuff is dreadful."
Speaking out about her new role recently, Dani said: "I’ve always been such a massive fan of the show and I watch it every night, so to be a part of it was such an amazing opportunity."
She added: "I was really excited – me and my dad really work well together
"We do our podcast and that’s always such a laugh, so to be acting alongside him really was fun and made it a lot easier for me."
Dani added: "This was definitely a lot more than what we’ve done in the past and it was brilliant.
"I really love working with my dad he really does make work easy with whatever we do together."
In real life, Dani welcomed her own first child back in January 2021 with her partner Sammy Kimmence.
She explained that she took inspiration from her own experiences as a mother to play the EastEnders part.
She explained: "To be honest, I started looking at YouTube first to see how pregnant women act.
"Then I realised I’ve been pregnant so I was better off relating to myself! I absolutely loved being pregnant, so it was mad having a bump back on and it made me miss my bump even more."

It's not the first time the father and daughter duo have worked together.
