Emmerdale airs violent death in Meena and Ben showdown tonight?

Whenever Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) is on the brink of being found out in Emmerdale, someone tends to die but is Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon) set to reverse the fortunes as Meena is left for dead in a dramatic showdown?

A gripping episode tonight sees a busy night for Ben as he clashes with Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) in a major way.

Determined to prove his innocent over the HOP incident before he moves away with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), Ben heads to the offices to do some digging.

He comes across the video footage of Meena trying to kill Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) and is left stunned by what she is capable of.

Meena is lurking about and toys with him but when things get serious, a struggle ensues.

Meena ends up slipping on shards of glass from a wine bottle Liv smashed and, sensing that she is hurt, Ben has the option of helping her or running away.

It remains to be seen what he does and if he can escape Meena’s clutches but fans are certainly worried about what could become of him.

Simon explained more about the dramatic events in a recent chat.

He told Metro.co.uk: ‘There is a switch within the relationship of Ben and Meena where they’re chatting and talking about the piece of evidence that she’s heard about from Ben’s conversation with Billy and still as they’re talking about it there’s no suspicion within there until Meena begins to belittle Ben verbally and questions his intelligence to the point where there’s a mutual acknowledgement within the look between them that “right, this might go south”.

‘They get into a bit of a scuffle over the evidence and Ben gets away luckily but Meena gives chase and as they are in pursuit of one another, Meena falls in The Hide among all the residue of alcohol that’s been left by Liv smashing everything up.

‘She hits the floor hard and it is that moment of Ben being left between a rock and a hard place of does he help her, does he go, does he run and speak to people, does he ring an ambulance and we’re sort of left in that moment of conflict and what is best to do next.’

Run like the wind is our advice.
