Emmerdale spoiler sees Marlon and April struggle as he comes home

Next week on Emmerdale sees a joyful turn of events as it’s finally time for Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) to return home. The whole family get ready for his arrival, but things quickly descend into chaos as they grapple with the task of moving forward.

As April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Marlon have a difficult induction into what life will be like, leaving the pair heartbroken and Marlon convinced he should be back in the hospital.

Elsewhere on the ITV soap, Ethan Anderon (Emile John) is called to defend Jordan who has been taken into custody for a racially aggravated attack against Billy Fletcher( Jay Kontzle).

April, Rhona and the Dingles prepare for Marlon’s return this week. Everyone is thrilled at the thought of having him home with April setting up decorations, and Mary assuring Rhona that she’s there to support her through Marlon’s recovery. However, things quickly become chaotic as the family enters uncharted territory and grapples with the task of moving forward.

Marlon is thrilled to be home and spending time with April, but when she helps him have a drink of water, he starts choking. Panicked, April calls for Rhona and Marlon despairs to see the stress his family is under. He’s adamant he should return to the hospital, but can a tearful April convince him to stay?

Meanwhile, Rhona gets a buzz after helping out at the vets. She later suggests working part time to bring in some more money after Marlon finds out he’ll have to go onto statutory sick pay.

Elsewhere, Jai is in for a rollercoaster ride as he stands by the staff at the HOP during their strike against Kim’s zero-hour contract proposal.

An impressed Laurel decides the pair should properly get back together, but their joy is short-lived when a bag of drugs is found with his wallet. Laurel is furious with Jai and things go from bad to worse when Kim threatens to fire him. He’s convinced she planted the drugs on him.

Also this week, things are moving fast for Marcus and Ethan as the pair move in together. They toast to the future as Ethan gets good news about his job, but it’s not long before things take a turn.

Ethan is quickly called to the station to defend Jordan who has been taken in for assaulting Billy.

Billy tells Dawn the attack was racially aggravated, but will they be able to get justice?
