Mandy Dingle (played by Lisa Riley) had to decide whether to step up as a true friend to Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) or attend a glittering awards ceremony in scenes yet to air on Emmerdale. While the pair are divorced, it is evident they still care for one another. However, does Mandy want more than friendship with Paddy?
The bubbly villager has been supporting Paddy as much as she can while being extremely excited about attending some beauty awards.
In upcoming scenes, when Mandy is getting dolled up for the event, Paddy is busy heading to see his daughter Eve Dingle (Bonnie Clement).
But when the youngster doesn’t want to spend the day with him, he’s left heartbroken.
Will Mandy be there for her friend at this time of need or will her awards ceremony prove too important to her?
Does the hairdresser see Paddy as more than a friend and want to rekindle a relationship with him?
The pair tied the knot in 1999 but they split up a few years later before Paddy remarried Emily Dingle (Kate McGregor) in 2002.
A decade later he married Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) then Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) in 2020.
Paddy spiralled into a deep depression last year after he discovered Chas was cheating on him with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) for months behind his back.
As he was struggling with his emotions, he had a drunken night of passion with Mandy in February.
He later told Mandy he’d made a mistake sleeping with her while he was coming to terms with his heartache.
Mandy has continued to support Paddy as a friend, but could she feel there is a chance of getting back together?
Paddy has been seriously struggling in recent months and even contemplated taking his own life.
