Just like most of Britain’s favourite tv shows, I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has been held back due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Nevertheless, after a near two-year hiatus, the ITV survival reality TV show has been confirmed to return.

The programme – which sees celebrities living in a jungle without any comforts while competing against each other in order to win – has run for 19 season in Australia, with 20th season in 2020 located in Wales, as a result of travel restrictions.

In February 2020, it was reported that ITV had renewed the show for at least three more series keeping it on air until 2022.

The show was confirmed this week to be returning, once again in Gwrych Castle, after producer Richard Cowles said that “with the continued uncertainty around Covid and international travel” and therefore I’m A Celebrity bosses made the decision to not return to Australia for the 2021 series.

Here is everything we know so far about I’m A Celebrity’s 21st series:

When will I'm A Celebrity return?

ITV bosses have yet to release the exact date for I’m A Celebrity’s 2021 premier.

However, fans can expect the show to start mid November to early December, when it has traditionally aired.

Where will I'm A Celebrity be filmed?

I’m A Celebrity 2020 was filmed in Gwrych Castle in North Wales, after the production had to relocate due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite The Sun’s revelation last month hinting at the idea that the survival competition would return to Australia, where the show has always been filmed, it seems that I’m A Celebrity will be returning to Wales for a second time.

Who will be presenting?

The iconic British TV presenting duo, Ant and Dec, will be returning to their I’m A Celebrity roles as hosts.

The comedians have held their presenting duties on the survival reality TV show since 2002.

Who are the celebrities?

The highly-anticipated ITV series has always revealed its line-up nearer to its airing date.

As it is still early days, the chances of knowing which famous person will join the I’m A Celebrity 2021 cast are impossible right now.

Nonetheless, fans might be able to guess some of the show’s future contestants as many celebrities have publicly announced their interest in participating.

Jade Thirlwall

The Little Mix member revealed in an interview hosted by Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on Heart Radio that she would try “anything once” and therefore would give I’m A Celebrity “a crack”.

She said: “If something smells bad I won’t put it in my mouth, but I am good at creepy crawlies.”

Olivia Attwood

The reality TV star who first rose to fame competing for a relationship on ITV’s Love Island recently revealed that she was now interested in a different type of contest.

She told Radio Times: “I’d love to do the jungle.

"I’d give Dancing on Ice a go, although it does scare me. I’m a bit of a baby, so I don’t like getting hurt.

"I feel like the minute I fall over once, I’d be done. I know it sounds dramatic, but I’m just a bit like that.

“For me, the jungle is less scary, so I’d love to do the jungle.”

John Barnes

The former football star said: “I’ve done a number of shows in my days but nothing as adventurous as I’m a Celeb.”

He added: “To be honest, there’s nothing that I wouldn’t eat or anything I wouldn’t do… I’m fairly easy-going, if they asked me to do something, I’d do it.”

Eric Cantona

ITV boss, Richard Cowles revealed in an interview while appearing on the Royal Television Society Q&A that he liked the idea of the French actor speaking his mother tongue on the show and “coming up with really profound things.”
