James Cordens sisters didnt realise his level of fame until private jet trip

James Corden's sisters have confessed they didn't realise just how famous he was until he treated them to a luxury trip onboard a private jet as they snuggled up to watch Christmas movies together.

The siblings were on This Morning to talk to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about their podcast Finding The Funny.

They then recalled the story as they were quizzed on what moment it was when they really appreciated the depths of their brother's global fame.

Phillip asked: "He's shared some lovely moments with you, your brother… so what were the pinch-me moments for you guys?"

Ruth said: "We flew on a private jet with James back to LA. I'll never forget the day before getting an email that said have you got anything that you want onboard the jet you want to eat. I was actually really boring I had boiled eggs. I totally messed it up."

Ange, breaking from laughing at her sister, added: "We had some smoked salmon."

Ruth continued: "I remember there was a doubled bed in the room at the end and I as the youngest was given the little sofa. James and Ange got into the double bed and we were watching Miracle On 34th Street because it was Christmas time.

"We all just fell asleep and I remember thinking 'oh my god, this is like, I can't believe that I'm doing this with my two favourite people.' Just to sort of have that space together, we don't get that sort of time with James a lot anymore so to have those hours in that confined space…"

Ruth and Ange began hosting their podcast during lockdown and admit the popularity with fans tuning in as they chat with celeb guests has been refreshing.

But they did admit that having James as a guest would be their trump card, after he randomly joined a recent Instagram live and their viewers jumped from "60-something to about 10.5 thousand in 60 seconds".

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
