Love Island’s Aaron Francis works in luxury events and has a royal connection

Luxury events host Aaron Francis was the second confirmed contestant for Love Island 2021.

The 24-year-old will join Sharon Gaffka in the villa, along with the rest of the line-up for this summer's series.

Aaron, from London, is used to rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous thanks to his job in luxury events.

He worked at the weddings of both Princess Eugenie, in 2018, and Princess Beatrice, in 2021.

Speaking about his royal connections Aaron said: "Yeah, Eugenie and Beatrice’s over the summer. I hosted and chatted. It was nice and intimate.

"Everyone’s chill. In my job you meet a lot of famous people… unless you’re Beyonce, I’m not really interested.”

Looking for a relationship, Aaron found it hard during the pandemic to find love and to date when people weren’t able to go out.

He also said: "I’ve been single for about six or seven months and the dating world at the moment is a little bit off.

"Everyone’s wearing masks. You can’t really see anyone which makes dating a lot harder. I do prefer relationships than dating.”

Hoping to find the one, Aaron isn’t looking for a fling but someone who is passionate and doesn’t “live for the weekend”.

He explains further: "I need someone that is passionate about what they are doing – from scientist to anything – you can tell when someone is speaking about something and they are actually smiling while they are talking. I love that.

"I don’t like when people are doing a job just to make money and then they kind of just live for the weekend. Especially because I work on the weekends.”

You can find Aaron on his Instagram account @aaronfranciis where he currently has around 6k followers.

Love Island producers have introduced mandatory therapy sessions, social media training (which includes how to handle trolls) and financial advice for the islanders.

Once the series has ended, the cast will have an aftercare package in place to help them navigate their new fame.

They will be offered advice on taking on management, and comprehensive psychological support to help their mental wellbeing.

Love Island will be returning on June 28 at 9pm on ITV2.
