Married At First Sight Australia bride’s weight loss after groom body-shamed her
Married At First Sight Australia star Elizabeth Sobinoff has undergone a major body transformation after her groom body-shamed her on their wedding day.
The 29-year-old bride matched with model Sam Ball in holy matrimony, despite never meeting each other, back in 2019.
However, their relationship got off to an awkward start when he slammed her image on their big day.
Jewellery store worker Elizabeth has lost almost two stone after discovering Sam said he'd "never dated a girl as big as her" on the show.
Sam also added that he "hoped to get her running in the mornings".
The series is currently airing on E4 in the UK, and Elizabeth has since had a huge transformation since her time on the reality show.
She's shrunk down after hitting the gym to reduce stress and going on the 5:2 diet, which sees calorie intake cut to 600 calories twice a week, while eating normally the rest of the time.
Opening up about her transformation, Elizabeth says her looks aren’t the be all and end all for her and she wants to shed light on living a healthier and happier lifestyle.
She told WHO Magazine: "It’s still very much me.
"I know people are going to say, ‘Well, you look completely different to how we saw you [on the show] but don’t always focus on the outer shell.
"This has always been me. We grow, as people. I don’t glorify weight [loss] and be like, 'I’m better now'."
Married At First Sight Australia fans will have to keep tuning into the show to see how Elizabeth and Sam's relationship progresses following his comments.
Fans will have to avoid spoilers thought as series six aired in Australia back in 2019.
