Anton Du Beke stepped in for Motsi Mabuse once again as the Strictly Come Dancing judge was missing from the panel. He was full of praise for Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse but as he critiqued the pair, viewers were sent into meltdown when they heard how Anton pronounced the professional dancer’s name.
“Tail suits, top hats, canes, I don’t know about Blackpool but I feel like we’re in heaven,” Anton remarked as he gave his feedback.
“This is right up my street. I loved everything about it.
“You had a beautiful quality across the floor; calm. You’ve got a wonderful top line, arm position was perfect.
“The thing I enjoyed about it the most was your parenting skill. You watch Oti intently and you follow her as all great male dancers do and you’re there for when she goes into a back bend or when she does some spins.
“When she does some spins in front of you, you fall away. I just thought it was so refined. I loved it.”
After hearing the pronunciation of Oti’s name, viewers flocked to Twitter to comment.
“Uhm I think it’s Oti, Anton not Otti #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly,” one viewer remarked.
Another added: “Not Anton calling Oti ‘Otty’ #strictly.”
A third posted: “Ummmm Anton, I love you but Oti is pronounced “oh-tee” not “ott-ee” #Strictly x.”
“Love how Anton pronounced Oti’s name. They really are all amazing friends #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly,” someone else shared.
“did anyone else notice the way @TheAntonDuBekejust pronounced @OtiMabuse’s name? #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly,” a fifth added.

Ladbrokes have Caroline 6/4 in the betting to be the next celebrity eliminated from Strictly, with JJ Chalmers close behind at 7/4.
At the other end, Bill Bailey is now the favourite to win the series with professional dancer Oti Mabuse.
His odds of lifting the Glitterball are priced at 6/4 with Clara Amfo, Maisie Smith and HRVY 6/1 apiece to win the series.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Bill’s got the series wrapped up already as far as the odds are concerned, but it looks as though Caroline’s time on the dance floor is all-but over.”
Will Bill be able to go on and win with Oti claiming her second victory two year’s in a row?
Strictly Come Dancing continues Sunday on BBC One at 7.25pm.
