Ahead of the season 10 finale release, it was announced season 11 will be the final instalment of the post-apocalyptic show. Fans are wondering whether season 10 will be on Netflix and Express.co.uk has everything you need to know.

Will The Walking Dead season 10 be on Netflix?

The Walking Dead season 10 finale will focus on the Whisperer War and fans will hopefully see the downfall of Beta (played by Ryan Hurst) and his followers.

The finale was due to air back in April 2020 but due to the coronavirus outbreak, the release was put on hold until towards the end of the year.

Fans are eager for the show’s return as survivor Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan) has announced she will be returning to the series for the foreseeable future.

The series airs on AMC – the American cable TV channel – and it has done so since the first season was released back in 2010.

The Walking Dead has been known to air on Netflix in the US, with the release date usually being in September.

However, fans in the UK will be unable to watch the series on Netflix – instead the series is available to watch on Fox UK and NOW TV.

According to Vodzilla, seasons one to 10 will be available on-demand via Fox UK until October 31, 2020.

Fox UK is available via Sky, Virgin Media and fans can also access the platform on TalkTalk TV.

Fans who already have a NOW TV account will also be able to access the series for £9.99 a month.

Some of the earlier seasons are already available to watch via Prime Video.

Fans in the US are still unsure of a Netflix release date for season 10, as the season usually drops after the finale.

There is a chance season 10 will land on Netflix in October, however, it could be more towards the end of the year.

Some fans have heard rumours The Walking Dead will be leaving Netflix, however, this is not the case for now.

The show may leave the streaming platform a few years after the series has come to an end, but fans have a long way to go before they reach this stage.

A new spin-off series titled Walking Dead: World Beyond is not expected to land on Netflix in the US any time soon.

The Walking Dead cast has been giving some insight into what fans can expect from the season 10 finale, as well as season 11.

Showrunner Angela Kang said fans can see more of a relationship between Maggie and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

Speaking during Comic-Con @ Home she said: “Negan killed Maggie’s husband and burnt down her house so it’s not going to be an easy road for either of them.

“Negan has been on this whole other journey while she’s been gone but it’s sort of like Maggie’s coming in and she hasn’t seen any of that.

“All she knows is she comes back and Hilltop is destroyed and the guy she thought she had left to rot in prison is out walking around with everybody else.”

There is a chance Maggie and Negan will learn to settle their differences as Kang revealed they would need to learn to “occupy the same space”.

Fans have already taken to social media to enquire about season 10 landing on Netflix, with one saying on Twitter: “Soooo when tf is the walking dead season 10 coming out on Netflix.”

At the same time and the announcement of the series coming to an end, AMC announced Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) would be getting their own spin-off series.

The news came as bittersweet news to long-standing fans who have stuck with the series despite some major twists and character deaths.
